What a fun packed couple of weeks we have had in fidgety frogs and Dragonfly’s den.

Frogs have been focusing on the story the very hungry caterpillar. They have been doing lots of craft activities from making caterpillar masks to making dragons for St George’s day πŸ‰.

They have been focusing on the letter g, h, i. They had some interesting answers from the children and what the letter starts with – insect, ice, hat, πŸ¦› hippopotamus, garlic,πŸ§„ giraffe πŸ¦’.

Both rooms also got some exciting visitors this week….. caterpillars! The children can’t wait to see how they grow and watch them turn into beautiful butterflies.πŸ¦‹

Dragonfly’s started the week off on a nature hunt in the garden, the children loved picking up the leaves and crunching them. They had a lovely collection when we had finished.πŸπŸ€

Then They set up a tuff tray based on their book of the month β€˜ The Gruffalo’ where the children liked feeling all of the different textures. They also looked at some numbers and did some counting.

They painted some paper plates and turned them into lovely octopuses πŸ™which are hanging beautifully above our water area. 😊

Next week: For baking week, all rooms will be participating in a baking competition. Keep your eyes out for lots of yummy bakes!πŸͺπŸ°πŸ˜ƒ
